He was born in 1921 in Yerevan, died in Yerevan in 2000. In 1945 he graduated from the Yerevan Consrevatoire, the class of V. Talian. Then, he improved his music knowledge at G. Litinski at the studio of the Armenian Culture House in Moscow.
In 1948 he came back to Yerevan. For a few years he was the culture-attache of the Armenian Composers’ Union and developed the relationship with the Armenian Diaspora.
