Aram Talalian


Born in Yerevan, Armenia. Studied at Tchaikovsky School of Music with Armen Mesropian. Continued his education in Boston, at Longy School of Music with the Principal Cellist of Boston Pops David Finch. From 1991-1995 Mr.Talalian studied at Yale University with Professor Aldo Parisot and in 1995 received his Masters Degree and the Artist Diploma in Yale.

Aram Talalian is the prize-winner of a number of International Competitions such as Markneukirchen (1986, East Germany), All-Soviet Union Cello Competition (1988, Russia), Yale University Competition (1993, USA).

Presently Aram Talalian teaches Cello and Chamber Music at Yerevan Conservatory, as well as at Sayat-Nova School of Music. From the year 2000 Mr.Talalian is the cellist of "Komitas" String Quartet.
