Gayane Grigorian


Was born in 1960 in Yerevan. In 1988 has graduated from the Yerevan Conservatory and in 1991 – post-graduate studies with Prof. G. Gasparian.

She is the 2nd Prize-winner at the Viotti International Competition in Vercelli, Italy (as a Laureate she performed with the orchestra of the La Scala Theatre with A. Zetta).

Since 1993 she is a soloist of the Yerevan Spendiarian Opera Theatre. She performed as Paolina ("Poliutto"), Anush ("Anush"), Queen of Night ("The Magic Flute"). She had several concerts with the APO and the Chamber Orchestra of Armenia performing Mozart s Requiem, C-dur and c-moll Masses, C. Orff’s "Carmina Burana". Since 1990 she is a soloist of The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin s choir.

In 2000 had concerts with the YPO at the Tehran Opera Theatre six times performing as Tahmineh in Tjeknavorian’s opera "Rostam and Sohrab". Had recitals in Saint Petersburg, Germany, Italy, Spain and Iran.
